    Create new milling stock

How do you create a new type of milling stock in V22? I want to create one for wood and all the defaults are metal.

    Thanks.

One may exist but I haven't seen an option to add new cutting conditions.

What you could do is modify one of the existing cutting conditions.

To do this goto Milling Tools, select Default, select Cutting Conditions.

Modify one of the existing cutting condition options then select "save to file"

Why not just change your feeds and speeds manually??

That is a easy solution. I just thought you should be able to create other materials.

Granted that is the way to go in other software packages, but personally I never use the slow feeds and speeds a software calculates. Usually I run about 250% faster and harder.

Wood is a different story because of the fire risk.

Give the material creation idea a shot, experiment with it, and post your results good or bad.

It is worth a shot to see what happens.

I cut wood every day and never had a fire risk. What are you talking about Dust?
