Exclamation Cutting 2 different tapers in cavity

Im cutting a cavity into a block of steel and two sides are a 25 degree taper and the other 2 are 5 degrees,Im using Bob-Cad to do the programming but the tapered pocket wizard only lets you use one taper angle at a time. Is there any way i can program the pocket to cut 2 different tapers?!?!

Your best bet is to draw the part in 3D Wire frame and use the Skin operation to create the toolpath. Basically here is what you would need to do:

1. Draw the top and bottom shapes in the correct location, making sure that you have same number of entities on the top as you do on the bottom shape.
2. With nothing selected click on 3D => Setpath
3. Input the values needed here, basically you need to pay attention to the Max Length of Division because this value will determine the step over in this case.
4. Select the top shape holding the shift key(Chain Select). Making note of where you clicked on the chain because you will have to click on the corresponding location in the bottom chain.
5. Select the bottom shape holding the shift and making sure that the location you click on corresponds to the location you selected on the top shape (both chains should be pointing in the same direction at this point).
6. Click on 3D => Skin
7. Fill in the values and click OK the path will be generated.

Because I don't know the specifics of what it is that you are trying to cut, there may be some things in these instructions that may not work out. The Skin function is what you want to use however, as it will give you the most efficient control over the path that you generate.

Regards
