| How would you go about trying to draw a 3d human face in bob-cad?I was thinking about the cross section option in surface creation of the solid menu.Since there does not seem to be an option in surface creation using a multitude of point (manually scanning ) representing an image, I was thinking using a multitude of cross section to create the image ... is there a limit in the number of spline you can use? The limit would be your pc graphic card. points and splines are one thing. surfaces require a lot more for rendering |

| Due to the complexities of generating the contours of a human head and having them realistic and correct, this task may prove to be difficult. If you have a point cloud there are programs out there that will allow to generate an STL file from the points, some even offer free trials. Using Cross sections is one way to do it, but I would avoid this as it creates an approximation of the surfaces, so you may end up with some discrepencies that you don't want. Regards, |
