I thought I would ask here first as I don't want to get anyone in trouble. I know of a shop that has a complete version 21 and is looking at selling it to me for 1DAYS work on the machine. So here's the question: "What's Bobcad's policy on "second' hand LEGIT software? Do I pay a "fee" and get all the same support and shop that bought though them would? Can I get upgrades and support as I would like to get Bob-Art? Thanks, John |

| You didn't state what you want to use Bobart for. I suggest you take a look at BMP2CNC for similar functionality to the 3-D portion of Bobart. Cost is only 36 Euros. You can download a fully functional copy that generates a limited number of lines of G-code. Allows you to play with it before buying. The Link is: http://www.mr-soft.net/en/bmp2cnc.html |

There was a $75 fee for the buyer to re-register. Once you register, you'll probably be bombarded with sales calls for the BobArt module. I don't know if the annual support contract is transferable. But you can sign up for that at any time. I don't have it but can still email a few questions a year with no problem. This forum and others are an excellent source for information. Make sure the v21 your looking at has the 3D package and comes with the thick manual. Training CDs are a huge plus. FYI ... Seats sell on ebay for $100 to $300 Good luck |

| Make sure that the license actually includes the BobArt. Since you have the training stuff, it probably does. The Bobcad office can verify for you. Don't assume that Bobnest is included, that needs licensed as well. There should be about a 1.5" thk. phone book sized training manual, black/yellow/white cover. I mentioned before about the 3D package, but I believe that is built in. Good luck moldmker |
