Anyone know why (ver 22) z-level finish, that the code is posted with only the cutting feedrate, and not both the plunge feedrate and the cutting feedrate? I rarely plunge at the same rate as I cut in x/y. I tried it with 2 of my mill posts, same result. It was working fine before the update. |

| spock, In most cases when doing a 3 axis cut it should be using the X/Y feedrate and not the Z feedrate. There are cases where this is not true, like when you are cutting a vertical wall or steeply angled wall, but those cases do output the feedrates correctly. Would you be able to post the file for review? Regards |

| On a z-level finish path, you step down in z and then cut in x/y (of course you know this). Having control over the step down feedrate is critical in my moldwork and hardmilling. I had this issue with one of the releases months ago, I went back to a previous release that posted the two feedrates and never updated at all until this last patch. I do alot of faces that have less than 1/2 degree draft, (nearly vertical) I was getting code before that reflected my choice of feedrate in z and x/y. Do you want a cad file of the solid? or code? I dont know how to post it here, but I can email. Send me your address and exactly what you want to look at, I'm at shopprints@hotmail.com. |
