    slope of a planer surface

Is there an easy way to determine the slope (in X and Y) of a planer surface? With V22?
    Thanks Matt

    Sucks don't it!!

I haven't found an easy way.(other than checking it in Solidworks)

If the surface is aligned to an axis then you can project a line down onto it and verify the angle to horizontal.

But if the surface alignment can't be assumed then it's a tedious affair to define a line normal to surface, project it to a horizontal surface, then verify angle between the 2.

If there is indeed an easier way, please advise.

I just had to tweek the rotate function until I got it on the X,Y axis, but by then I didnt know where I started.
I am building a holding fixature for the part. I'm holding by the unknown planer surface and facing the top surface, so I dont have to KNOW the angle, as long as the holding fixature is the same as the part. I think I have it.

If you're working with a simple surface then use the Utilities>Extract Edges.
This will give you lines to Verify.
