I am begging, please someone help me!! I have a Boss5 Bridgeport, the machine will do text perfectly but I cannot draw a simple circle and get it to work properly I am going nuts I have tried G75G90 if I put it in the incremental mode it works but I loose my place. Also how do I know what post processor to use? The Taylor one seems to work ok as well as the Boss Mill5 it does funny stuff on the text. Do I need to switch to a Hillbilly Board and call it a day? Any help from someone using Boss5 with BobCad21 please respond I need personal experience. |

| What is happening when you try to machine a circle? Funny could be that the machine is looking for Incremental arc centers and getting absolute, or looking for absolute and getting incremental. A little better description might help narrow it down. Regards |

Ok I am now able to cut circles, I declare G90 to start then I make sure my tool-path is in the correct direction, and every once and a while it will cut the whole part out, I am about to give up and go to the Hillbilly board. But I felt like I would be falling at this first, If I only cut out the tool path for the circle it is great, however if I intersect a couple of lines then break all and edit there are issues here involved, and it goes nuts, I am in absolute mode G90 and I make sure that I click on quarter in my setup for the mill, it is off of incremental as per the tech at Bob>Cad, I am wondering if Mach3 and Hillbilly are looking like a better combo all along. I believe when I get some time next week I am going to order a board from Hillbilly. |
