Ok, so i have been trying to get a picture into bobcad v19.3 so i can trace it but i keep getting stuck. I downloaded inkscape and it automatically outlines the image for you but i keep getting stuck. I save it as a .dxf file and open it in bobcad v19.3 but only a couple of lines/dots show up. It is missing most of the lines. Does anyone know a solution to this? As you may have already noticed i just started using inkscape and am not too familiar with it. I am trying to make a sign out of foam for my daughter's birthday which says, "happy birthday" and it has dora the explorer in the middle. She will be turning 3 and loves dora the explorer so it would be nice if i can figure a way to get her into bobcad so i can start experimenting with it. I would really appreciate any comments/opinions/help. Thank you |

| Last time I used inkscape, I think their .dxf export didn't work correctly. Try Wintopo instead.

| So i tried wintopo and it works but when passed on to bobcad it doesnt look all that great.I have to re-do all of the lines still because they are not straight lines. I can work with it though. I dont know how to work with this program very good so maybe theres more i can do to better the image. Any suggestions are appriciated. |

| I've never seen a raster to vector converter that worked good enough that I'd actually use it. Especially the free ones. Some find them acceptable, and some don't. Also, they work best on simple black and white line drawings. What are you trying to convert? Probably the best converter I've used is the one in Vectrics V-Carve Pro, but that will set you back about $600.

| Or, if you want to just post the pic here, someone will probably do it for you.
