I Have Bcc 2007 Mill Lev 3, Simulation Lev 2, Editor Lev 2. Running A Haas Tm2 I've Found That When The Cutter Rapids In Z It Crashes The Material By About .005 Before The Feed Rate. Currently I Have To Change Every Rapid Z Move In The Program. Is There A Way To Adjust In The Post? Next I Keep Getting Zero (0) Feed Rates When I Anitially Generate Code, To Get Around It I Change Materails And Then It Changes. Also I Do Most Of My Modeling In Solidworks (it's Just Faster) But When I Save It As A Bcc File The Software Does Not Want To Recognize It To Make Any Changes Holes Filets Etc.... Lastly In Response To Some Of The Negetive Comments I Have Found Most Of The Bumps In The Road Have Been My Own Learning Curve, The Software Very Capable. Whats The Word On The Lathe Function, Is Simulation Lev 3 Worth It? Thanks In Advance For Any Help![]()

Ok,
First thing first. There seems to be a bug in the Lathe Module which is the reason for the gouges your getting. Feed rates are controlled in the Post Processor which you can open/edit in Predator CNC Editor. Be sure to save a backup of your changes under a new name.
Do you have the latest Build???? It should be Build 780. This can be found in the Help (Main Menu) under About BobCAD. At the top to the right will be your current Build.
The file after saving as a (*.bbcd) file you should be able to do what ever you want to the file/ part drawing. I do not have SW files to test and don't receive too many from customers so I'm a little clueless as to why your files aren't responding to basic changes.
As a side note about SW files they are Parametric where BCC is Non-Parametric. In other words BCC creates Dumb Solids without a history tree of operations.
At the present time I haven't used the Lathe Module too much so I don't have some of the answers your looking for, but I do suggest that you call BCC Tech support on Monday morning.
Here is the Update page to save in your favorites

BTW: I still haven't gotten the de_bug in line #8 to work yet. I'm still waiting too.
I would like to personally thank you for not bashing BCC. I find that most people that have trouble with a new software tend to be harsh. It is all learning even after mastering.
I hope this information helps you at least a little.

Go to utilities, extract edges then from solid and this will break the solid into wire frame geometry
