    Switch to Incremental

Been using V2007 for about a week now and still trying to get my head around it.

Here's some questions concerning different subjects:

How do I post incremental output to be used in sub program?

I poked around some of the .millpst files, where can I get breakdowns of what the variables do?

What is the purpose of the templates in the Predator editor?

    Thanks,
    Bob

Bob you will have to excuse me. I accidentally hit Edit instead of Quote on your post.

It says edited by tobyaxis at the bottom.

    Sorry

    To reply to your post:

    Bob,

    Incremental/Absolute Coordinate Positioning
I'm not sure how to do this myself yet due to not needing it yet.

    The Templates in the Editor:

In plain terms it is a description of what type and configuration of Milling/Turning Machine you have. Axis Configurations, CNC Control, 2 or 3 Axis, Rotation of 4th Axis etc.

We have found that we shouldn't change the present settings or there are errors.

I'll look into the G90/G91 settings and post back the results.

    Cheers!!!!

I just discovered the MillEditPost.exe file.
Now I understand things a little more.

I was able to modify an existing post to output in incremental.

So it looks like I will have one post for ABS. and one for INC.

    Bob,

That is a great idea!!!!!! BTW the Predator CNC Editor will open your post processor for editing and you can use the debug function to prove out a Post.

    Happy CAD/CAMing.

BTW: How do you like it so far, V2007???
