Bobcad 2007 Samples

I thought I would start this by posting a couple files that I am permitted.

This file is an actual electrode we made (if the boss ever brings back the camera I will take a picture of the machined part).

For graphic purposes I changed the angular step-over on the radial cut so it could be viewed.

On the part we actual machined it was with a .2 degree step-over and it would look like a solid form in the picture. The zip file contains the actual Bobcad file, post output and the post that was used to generate it.

BTW: Before it is mentioned, the facing operation was moved while I was playing with the file this morning. It should have been first opp but I didn't notice until just now that I hadn't moved it back up the tree. The radial cut surface is machining an actual 3D form profile.

A basic profile cut.

I wanted to post this one to show how to control the location of the radial lead in on a profile.

The profile entry is the same as the location the profile was selected.

The attached zip file contians the actual bobcad file, post, and post output.

Toby,

Remember you can post on the cadcam forum and place a link in here.

That way you get more. Also if you noticed the 2007 files are much smaller.

BCC may have removed the Preferences from the Saved File. That was annoying me a little but not enough to gripe about LOL.

I have posted plenty of links to our Forum LOL.

Thought I was losing it but someone else confirmed it was there before. They may have had a problem and the file got lost but anyway I got it on the shop computer along with the electrode I machined.

The reason I was looking for it was to post the photo I finally got of the machined part. (that was what the other person was suggesting that we were not actually cutting parts but just posting pretty pictures)

I wish we could post half the stuff we make LOL. On the other hand, the mystery behind the madness would be revealed, leaving us without jobs.

Here is the missing picture and the part photo....copper electrode

The 3D surface was machined with no polish. It was deburred using a scotch brite fine grit pad.
