I hear it is very close. I wish they had a lathe here that I could really utilize it on. I would like to blow their minds with this compared to the Mazatrol.

Mazatrol is a Joke compared to G-Code Controls. I can't wait for the Lathe Module. I will be testing in on a Dainichi BX45 Slant Fanuc 10T. I hope this Module Supports Canned Cycles for Turning, Facing, Grooving, and Threading.

The only thing Mazatrol handles with ease that I have seen is Multi-Start Threads.

I'll be back at BCC soon. I'll be dealing with customers only though, not any new prospects. Im looking forward to it.

I was on the phone with BCC tech support yesterday. Mike said he's been hearing the lathe module will be released early next month.

Hopefully there will not be delays. It is hard to pin down a date when finalizing software. There are all those little things beta testers come across when it gets used in so many unforeseeable ways.

Most people just don't understand how much trouble it is to find an error that only one person gets when looking at a million lines of code. It takes days sometimes to find just that one problem before they can fix it.

I guess even with my very limited experience in programming it has at least made me aware of how difficult it can be and hopefully made me more patient with them.

Anyone hear any more about the lathe module?? Will the lathe module have the predator simulation also?? Will it be able to simulate canned cycles?

No word yet but I believe that it will incorporate the use of Predator Virtual CNC and CNC Editor. It would be silly of BCC not to do the same for the Lathe, LOL.

But it may have to do with the purchased options as well. Never know how sales will go on something like this. Guess it counts on how low some people wish to pay for software.

This is true as well and when it comes out they will start advertising the Lathe Module. Personally I can't wait for it to be released. It should be extremely functional from what I have seen with the Milling Module in V2007.
