draw your spiral, then draw your whatever and use the sweep command under surfaces
I need to make a solid spiral column much like a spring. So how do you sweep a rectangle or circle along a curve such as a spiral curve. The result needs to be a solid.

That only seems to produce a hollow tube, probably me but I couldn`t find a way to do it in BC and get a proper solid, I did manage it in Fusion 360 though, only took less than a minute each to produce the spirals shown in the attached images, the solids are .STEP files in the attached Zip file, enjoy

I'm ducking as I type this guys, please don't take it the wrong way but,
It's a Helix! ;-)

I thought helix was a cat ?

Thanks for the response. I know I can sweep a shape along a curve in Pro-E but I was trying to do it in BobCad 30. A Helix would be okay too. The spiral shape in Other can be used to sweep a surface but can the user make a solid from a surface? I was trying to make spiral column. The stretch corner doesn't seem to work with solids, otherwise one could distort a square beam. Also I inserted an STL column but I could not boolean a shape either subtract or add. This is a very powerful program and I am continually impressed with what it can do but maybe this is a current limitation
