Will BBCD Generate TABS Wider Than Tool Diameter?

Hello all;

I am cutting an aluminum part from stock using 1/8th endmill on a 1/4" deep part. I would like to use the tab feature, but this tool size and depth really requires a tab width wider than the tool diameter to keep endmills from getting clogged. I have my eye on some high rake, high helix two flute EM's...

I have attached 3 files:

TAB_Kinda_Works.bbcd (V28) where i make my own tabs. Note the cut around the part is 1/4" using a 1/8th" EM. This works fine - it allows the chips to be removed easily without gumming up the EM. This is what I am looking for & my work-around.

TAB_Toolwidth.bbcd (V28) is a standard BBCD tab that is 1/8"wide & 1/4" deep. Tab width is really too narrow for part depth.

TAB1.bbcd is me trying to us the BBCE TAB feature to create a 1/4" wide pocket. is this possible? BBCD accepts the tabbing, but doesn't seem to use it when generating the toolpath.

Side roughing and tabs are not supported. With out putting too much thought into this, I would consider using pocketing and creating a few boundaries. Maybe pocket everything down to where you want the top of the tab to be. Then 2 pockets one for each side of the pocket.

The other option could be to model the part in 3D and draw the tabs in. Then apply a Z level rough to the walls....
