You're right, sometimes i get so frustrated with this BobCAD stuff that i get short. seems to be issue after issue, anyways, here goes:
i merged a solid from inventor as a .step file, i wanted to add a feature to the part so i drew it in BobCAD, placed it, and now when i go to "boolean" add the two items together to make them one solid, they both just disappear.
That would indicate there is something "not solid" about one of the objects.
Here's a trick you can use in bobcad. Use "unstitch solid to surfaces" on either object. If you get an error message, look for the surface that "disappeared" and repair it and stitch it back together.
If this doesnt help you find the issue, i can help, but need the file.
last night before i went home i saved the file and closed BobCAD as i always do... this morning i opened BobCAD and the Boolean add function worked perfectly.
must have been some sort of error in the software on start up yesterday. anyways, thank you BurrMan for you time and replies!
