    Default Cutter comp numbers

My computer crashed and I lost my posts and back ups that worked pretty much the way I wanted, the one thing I haven't been able to get to work again is the proper D value for cutter comp. I'd like to be able to automatically add 20 or 25 to the tool number to get the right value, i.e., tool 1, comp D21. I remember? seeing a line in the post that asks for a value to add to the tool number for this but can't find it, anyone know what to look for?

Not sure it matters but it's for a FANUC OM-C control.

    Should be

    267. Amount to add to tool # for tool register value? 20

Thanks Steve. I guess it's just a matter of understanding the language. When you know what they mean it's logical, sort of, but wouldn't it have been better to say amount to add to tool number for comp offset or something like that, if you only do a post once or twice in a decade, descriptive language is better.

I agree, but I'm pretty sure you can change the wording:

    267. Amount to add to tool# for tool compensation offset D#? 20

I believe all they look at is the 267? If I'm wrong perhaps someone else can chime in. Of course the wording may change back on any other post processors you receive.

Just tried it out and yes, you can change the text.
