Today I was doing some text endraving in mold inserts. I draw and position my text in Autocad 2002, then save as a dwg. and open in Bobcad 20.7 to get toolpath. I did several letters, all went well till I used an elipse to make an "0" like I wanted it. Saved it, opened it in Bobcad, elipse wasnt there. Tried twice, it wasnt there either time. I made due another way, but am wondering what I was missing, besides my elipse? |

| can you try breaking the elipse into tiny line segments. i have no experience with autocad, but with bobcad ive seen alot of problems discussed involving incompatibility between arcs and lines. give it a shot

| erase42, good idea! I tried somethings that seem to have worked, if someone else has experience doing it another way, please chime in. First I changed the pellipse setting in autocad to 1. Bobdad would open the ellipse, but it was "warped". So back in autocad I used the divide command to divide the ellipse into 100 segments. It now opens in bobcad, looks right, but I havnt checked dimensional accuracy. |
