Hello CNCzoners I'm fairly new to BobCad but have used it mostly succesfully for a year now. Current version is 20.5. My dilema is this... I need to send an iges file to a designer using SolidWorks. I have 2d cad data and have made a 3d solid from BobCad. Saving the files as .iges will be viewable to a solidworks program ? How many lines should I make the solid.. 10, 50 or more? Does this matter to Solidworks? The part is small roughly 3/8 X 2 X 4. Why isn't iges a part of the allowable upload formats? diemaker |

| The number of interior lines is only data used by BobCAd, so that is unimportant. You should have little trouble with the IGES export, but you may want to also try STEP (which is a more standard format). Regards |
