Opened it in 4 different programs and looks the same in all....Dims on line geometry... What are you expecting to see vs. what's there? What's the originating program?
Afternoon Folks;
I have a dxf file that I'm having issues trying to open with Version 26. It should be a drawing of a remengton 700 action but it is opening very garbled. Is there a means for opening this file and making it usable? I sure would appreciated any help!
Bill
I'll zip the file for attachment!

Hey Burr;
Thanks for looking! I tried in 3 versions of Bcad and Aspire 4.0 with no success. The line drawing is of a rifle receiver. I'll attach a pix of a similar drawing. I don't know the originating program. Maybe a corrupt file??? I've seen this type of thing in the past with dimension lines going from Bobcad to Aspire and thought I was missing some sort of setting or something! Left is what I expected and right is what I'm getting!
What ya think?

It's not a corrupt file, it's just not what you were looking for.
Whatever exported it did a very poor job.
It actually looks like a simple 2D drawings, but it also looks like there are toolpaths included in the drawing.
Bottom line: It's not corrupt, and it's not the programs your importing it into.
It is what it is, which is a mostly useless .dxf file.
