    Need to engrave on a sphere

    I have version 20 but I cant figure out how to engrave or put text on a sphere. Has anyone figured this out yet? Can you help me if you have?

    with version 20 you can use the project funcition attach is one I did in version 21

    Very nice Lakeside. I haven't upgraded to V21 because it didn't look like they improved it that much. Nice to see this function. Did you use the Project Text on Solid?

    Guess we have to wait for Carbidecraters to respond to his call for help.

    you can do it in version 20 go to 3d menu project it in the training tapes

    Lightbulb Porjection Function for 3 Axis not just 2?

    Really, but I thought that was for Projecting Text on to a 2 Axis Surface not a 3 Axis. I'll give it a shot and PM you.

    attached is a file I did in version 20 (which I have not used in sometime) I project to a surface but could not project to a sphire

    Yeah I could not project..I am not really good on this bobcad personally. How can I do it without making the sphere a sufaced entity?

    if you are trying to ingrave on a clylinder draw to arcs like I did if your trying to do it on a sphire you may not be able to do it in version 20, post the file you have and I'll take a look

    I am tryimg to do simple lettering on a .75" radius ball...about the top 1/4 of the part. It doesnt want to project onto the surface. Can you give it a shot and see if I am doing anything wrong?
