Hi all, hope that what I,m about to say makes some sence so here i go.First off this deals with a guitar body, now I have drawn the outline on 1/4 inch graph paper and ploted various points on the body outline and input them into my Bobcad V-20.I want the body to be a carved top meaning, there is a 3 degree angle where the neck enters the body moving to a higher plataue then plaining out to a flat and then back down agian. The wood stalk is a total .75 inch thick, the edges of the body top are at 1/4".From start of body where the neck meets the body would be the 1/4 " mark gradualy rising up and then plaining out and then back down agian to 1/4" this direction is from X0 to X 18 then there is the profile going in the Y direction.Should I draw these extra lines across the drawing in the X and Y direction plot some points and give them different Z levels in order to create my surface.? Does this seem to be the long way around?
Well I Don't Think I Understand Your Surface You Are Tring To Make But One Option You Have Is To Make More Than One Surface And Do A Booteans Operation To Join The Surfaces Or You Could Stich The Surfaces Togher
Well the drawing I have is already at zero plane,I want it to gradualy rise up to the center from the sides and from the ends something like a les paul or paul reed smith if that paints a picture for you, sorry about my explanation of things and I appreciate your help.
