I have had difficulty getting my updated code saved and to the machine properly. I save my file on my computer as a G-Code text file with a .PIM extension for my fagor 8055 controler then I copy the file to the controler using the software from fagor. I don't want to have the file open in bobcad when I copy it to the machine so I save it as a different file eg I save file 000100.pim as 000101.pim using bobcad file save as. Then the next time I save my changes I use file save as 000100.pim the file alread exsists so bobcad asks if I would like to overwrite the file, I click yes, then I re-open the 000100.pim I have just saved my changes to (overwriten) and my chages are not there. does anyone else have this problem? ver20.5 and probaly every ver I have used so far |

| Have you checked the files to make sure they are not set to Read-Only? This would be the first place to look. Next step would be to determine weather the changes were made before sending the code to the machine. You can do this by opening the code file in notepad and visually verify the program for the edits that had been performed. Another possible cause would be that the file is being used by another program on the computer. When you overwrite the file while it is open in another program the changes may not take effect. The last thing that could cause this is a temp file in the program you are using to send the files across to the machine. Make sure the changes show up in that program. If they do not close the file and exit the program, then try again. Regards |
