ErnieD,
If you are running an updated build, you could launch the update installer and choose to repair/re-install and see if that fixes it.
Hi,
Something went haywire with my v24. Now when I try to open it I get an error message: Microsoft C++ Runtime Library
Runtime error
Program C:\Program files\BobCad-Cam\BobCad-Camv24.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it
in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support
team for more information.
Bobcad not being open on the weekend, and me wanting to play with the software, I have turned to the forum for expert help. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ernie

I got this same error today trying to run a 3d toolpath which took over an hour and then crashed with this error. I have rebooted and am trying it again.
My extreme patience with Bobcad is running mighty thin these days.

And after the second time running for over an hour I get this. How helpful is that?![]()
Hi guys,
I think that I found a fix for my problem. I Right clicked on the Bobcad icon, Left clicked properties, opened compatibility, and checked Disable Visual Themes. That seemed to do the trick. At least v24 opened without error. I have not had time to do much with the software to see how stable it is but should it act up again I will report in.

i just put a z level finish on your part with a 1.00 ball mill .250 step down
in less than 5 miniutes i see from your picture you were putting a adv rgh toolpath on the part ???? also is the diameter of the part is it 42.515 inches in diameter and about 28.5 inches tall ???
if so what tool diameter and step down were you
using
I am unable to download the file. If you could zip it up for me it would be much appreciated. Currently when I click the link it opens up Windows Media Player.
Edit:
I got the part to download, however, there is no toolpath associated with the part anywhere. I need the toolpath associated that caused the error to appear.
I got the file to download. However, it has no toolpath associated with it to determine the specific cause for the error message. I do not need the toolpath computed, however, I will need the correct parameters and geometry selected to be able to attempt to get the error on my side.
