    Nesting Defaults

Is there a way to change the default quantities for nested parts? The qty default is set at 10 parts. Most of my drawings that have multiple parts on the drawing but and I only need to cut 1 of each part not 10. this can be quite time consuming if you have a dozen or so parts and you have to go in and manually change quantity for every part. The reason I use the nesting is to minimize waste on the sheet.
    Any ideas.

For one part it does not make sense to use nesting. Use translate and position the part by hand on the material. If you insist on nesting, then delete the remaining 9.

I understand and agree with that nesting is mostly used to create multiple toolpath for each part. It is also much quicker to use nesting when you have multiple part on the same dwg and want to orient one of each of the parts to the same sheet. Nesting rotates and fit the parts to the sheet with ease. I usually draw all of the part in a job on the same dwg and a job could have twenty parts or so. I have a lot of dwgs with to many parts for one sheet and nesting allows the parts to spill over to multiple sheets. I couldn't imagine translating and rotating a dozen or so parts nearly as quick and efficiently as the nesting function can.
You are also correct it not difficult to change the quantity, that is what I do now. My question is if there is a way to change the number by default. I am sure the number 10 was arbitrarily chosen and someone could as easily have the need to change it 100 parts as I do for choosing 1.

    Hi Cheubach,
Normally I could respond with "Use the save feature" method, and configure and save your feature, then use "load feature" instead of add feature, but the nesting feature doesnt seem to be holding the quantity value in the saved feature...

Maybe someone from BobCad reads this and can address is later or give a better explanation... I may post it in the BobCad forum so they see it for sure.
