V24 profile contour ramping will not run finish

When I do a profile contour ramping feature on a part, for some reason it will not run a finish pass, even though I have 0.005" of "side allowance" for finishing. Let me clarify that. It draws the tool path for the finish pass, but it will not actually post the code for it.

    Frustrating, this is.

    Any help is appreciated.

It does list it in the "tree". When I get to the finish page of the wizard, it had a "system tool" selected. I changed it to one of my tools. I pulls a tool number, feeds, speeds, etc. There is no "next" button. Only "Finish" is highlighted. There are no other options for the finish tool. Is there something I missed?

if you are going to use the same tool to finish then
    click finish in the wizard
    system tool should be checked
    but everything should read 0
then click on tool library and choose the same tool
    you have selected for rgh
must high light tool then click ok
    then click finish
then recompute tool path , should out put finish pass
finish pass will be at full depth
    think i got it all

Yup. I did that, except I am using a different tool to finish with.

I selected the tool I wanted to finish with and hit ok.
    Then clicked finish.
    Re-computed the tool path.
Changed the color of the finish tool path to make sure I can see the two different paths.
    Both are there.
    Post the code.
Roughing tool worked as designed, but stops after roughing.
NO FINISH TOOL PATH IS BEING POSTED.

It is drawn on the picture, just not posting the finishing code.

I hope this works... I've never attached a file on here before...

The problem is with the last "profile feature" before the "drill tap feature", (outside profile).

I have tried all 3 profiling options, (standard, contour ramping, side roughing). None of them will allow the finish pass to work.

You got more to work than I. I didn't even see the tool plunging in the verify. When I run the program on my mill, it does not even try to finish the outside profile. Checking for the code in the program, there isn't any for the finish pass.

I don't have the predator backplot, so I cannot see anything there.

Are you sure it's not posting? The file is set to post by "tool", and for me, that has the defined finish tool post up further in the code than where you expect to see it.. Try setting to post by feature so you can see it directly after the roughing for the second profile op.. The finish tool in the second profile posts out both ways with your post.
