Booleans and filets

I've been trying to make handles for knifes and guns but anytime I create a solid by extruding a curve the filet function doesn't work, and if I try to boolean anything other than basic solids it wont work either. Is this beyond the capability of BobCad 24 or am I doing something wrong?

If you model small radiuses into the curve "before" the extrude, this will drastically reduce the fillet that will fit. There could be other reasons too.

Do you have any test geometry you can attach here to replicate it?
