    BobCad Nesting vs Me

    yes

I played with nesting in bobcad it is new program for me. Strange thing I cannot find option to put one part inside another to save space. I used 1 degree rotation. It took minimum 5 min to put it together for my amd 1090 X6 and almost same time to me, maybe less.
    Here is picture of it.

If you know how to improve it let me know.

    Part

Try placing the part in the other. Then select it as if it is one part.

You can assign the parts that you want inside other parts to PIP from primary which will nest those parts in another part if there is available space.

Thanks for reply. I googled bobcad PIP and found lesson

    http://www.bobcad.com/wp-content/med...art_Lesson.pdf

I had 2 big parts and few small.
I put small as PIP, big left as primary with priority 1 for both big parts.
here is result. Small parts on top of big.

Playing around I got better result with changing priority of big parts.

But still results is useless. I have to tell program what parts TRY to put inside. If I will put PIP on part that at the end will not fit into any part it will NOT display on sheet at all. That means I have to check if I have all parts at the and on list.

    Most important!!!

I fit these parts on 1 list easily, bobcad cannot with 0 margins.
