Cannot select line by cursor hover

Anyone know why BoobCAD V23 won't select geometry by cursor hover sometimes? ...yup, the cursor select is activated on the tool bar.

Had no problems until I saved the file. After saving the only way to select geometry is to window pick! WTF???? Very frustrating!

Rebooting doesn't solve it. I can open another file and I'm able to hover select. I've looked through preferences and find nothing. Besides, why would you want to disable that selection method?

There are no contours defined, let alone selected.

The problem is FILE specific. NO OTHER BobCAD FILES EXHIBIT THIS ISSUE. I opened the problematic file with Auto CAD and did nothing but save it in Auto CAD. Closed the file and re-opened with BobCAD. No more problem. So what is it in the file structure that causes this problem???

I've had this trouble with ver 23. It seemed to me it was related to using blank function. Sometimes I could get it to select to work again if I would use the undo. After re-opening the file you lose the undo so I would delete some of the last things I did to get the select to start working again. My solution could have bee a coincidence.
