Installing BobCad 23 with Windows 7 issues.

Is there anything special I need to do when installing Bobcad 23? I installed it, but an error was listed, and I don't remember what it was.

    Thanks.

You have to set run as administrator.

Right clcik on the icon you use to launch BobCad and choose properties. Then on the compatability tab, look for "run as Administrator". This keeps UAC from interfering with normal operation.

It could be a bad download??? Re-download it. If it's a cd, try copy the contents of the CD to a folder on the desktop and run it from there... Also, try right clciking the installer/setup program and run it as admin too...

Ahhh..... The old "what build are you running" issue... Never a dull moment!!! Glad your up and going...

1812 is the build where they made some changes that help with memory on heavier toolpath calculations also...

I haven't used Bobcad, since this past January, when I lost my job. Now I'm looking into Solidworks, for more Cad exp.

    Thanks.
