Bobcad Lathe V24

So im new to bobcad and using lathe V24, i have all the tools working fine except for the facing. I put it in turning mode the part is drawn at top right. i only use half the drawing. i choose facing when asked for turning or facing, select face of the part for geometry selection. when it shows tool path it only cuts halfway down the face.
or 1/4 the part at this point. Can someone tell me what im doing wrong please?
and/or explain the steps briefly.

Use the lead in and lead out to extend the tool-path. Post the file if you can.

sorry no one replied for awhile i just about gave up, that worked, i would have never figured that out. I really appreciate the reply.
