    How best to machine this

Looking for the best way to achieve this result.
    I have a 60deg .125 Vbit to use.
Any hints on the best process in Bocad would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Ken

If you background is white you won't be able to see it. change your background to Black or use the select all button and change the color of the part.

Scince the file is an STL, you will not be able to extract edges to make a good 2d (flat) file to work with. I would suggest you draw a top view of the part with a center line to represent the V-groves and the center of the flat areas, then use profile with no offset for the v-grooves then another profile with no offset for the flats (Using a flat bottom tool). You will need to draw the part though. The STL is a non editable file in BobCAD, If you could get an iges or step you can extract the edges to have a good base drawing to work off.
