I have drawn several 2d parts and saved them in different files. I now want to bring the into one file and place the parts on different areas to be cut out. (I am using a router / mill).
If I use merge, the drawing is imported with the same coordinates it had in it's original drawing. I want to cut it from that insertion point and past it somewhere else. I have got the cut part down. I select the entities and cut them. Now I have NOT figured out how to past them where I want them on the workspace.
How do I paste a drawing where I want it?
It's been a while since using BobCAD. You should be able to click to the upper left of what you want to copy, and while holding the left mouse button, drag over your selection, then let go. Your selection should be highlighted, red it used to be. Right click should pop up a menu of choices. You will want something like copy with base point. You may then have to select a base point to reference your selection. Click on "window" in the upper bar to get to your other drawing. Right click anywhere and select paste. It may ask coordinates, instead of letting you click anywhere for the paste. This is from memory of a few years back, but give it a try.
