    Tube shape subtract

Hello: Im curious about a function in the training vids (boarder define select?) It created a tube shape on/of a chain. I have to go find the spot and rewatch it. I dont think this is the intended function but might work for my app. Here it is. We would like to create a bent tube shape in cad and boleen subtract it from a soild rectangle, split it in half and have the two halves of a tube bender clamp die. Im wondering if anyone has had to generate a bent tubular shape and how you defined it.

Im sure someone will ask why not chuck it in a 4jaw and bore away. We do, do that but this clamp would be clamping on a bend, not a straight section.

You should be able to draw the line representing the center of the tube. Basically just a line following the shape you want to bend to. Then on one end of the line draw a circle the size of the tube. Then extrude the circle along the line you made.(the line will be your path). Then draw the cube you want around it and subtract the tube. Hope this gets you going in the right direction.

Sounds like you will need the Surfaces > Sweep function for that.
