Hello there I am hoping that one of the bobcad experts can help me with a question... If I want to carve out a somewhat complex solid from a block of alum what would be the best way to have most of the material removed with say a .125 stepover, than have the last small amount of the finishing work done with a .001-.003 stepover so that the curved surfaces will come out nice and smooth. I can figure out how to do one or the other, but I haven't been able to figure out how to have both a roughing, and a finishing set of toolpaths. Thanks for your time. |

| Generate your roughing toolpath with one color then Blank it out and refresh the screen. Now pick a second color and generate your finish toolpath. By doing this you can post the roughing and finishing code seperatly in the CAM window by blanking and un-blanking colors or "Layers". Hope this helps. |
