Here's a snippet from the Bobcad forum posted by Bobcad:

    It's your post...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Edit the post in Notepad. Anywhere that you see the variable 'absolute_coord' change it to 'movement_mode'. You can also replace the 'incremental_coord' with the same command.

Also, you can replace things like 'inch_mode' and 'metric_mode' with 'measure_mode'. This will cause the post to pull the unit of measure from the drawing.

The Inch, Metric, Absolute and Incremental variables format the code after they are called. Their counterparts take their value from the drawing or settings in the Current Settings dialog.

    Regards

I was not aware of those post commands. I assume this is to make the Inc/Abs buttons work in Milling Tools - Current Settings - Posting tab.

Thanks moldmker, I was needing that a while back.

Don't forget to look for any G90 or G91 that is hard coded in your post

Better yet, I bet the real problem lies with your arc centers, because I've never heard of any cnc that required incremental code. However, there are two flavours of arc centers, and this is what you need to sort out. So whatever post changes you need to make should involve switching from absolute arc center coordinates to incremental arc center coordinates. The program code itself will be fine in absolute (G90) mode if the arc syntax is correct.
First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.

(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)
