    Layers

Hello all and thank you very much for your time and patience.

Question: Can I use layers to hide and show cam processes. I know I can use it like standard 2d drawing functions. For example, a facing operation would be on one layer, and when turning that layer on and off, the cad data and the face operation would show and hide.

I can make it for the 2d cad data, but not the cam process. My manager things it can for the cam process. I just cannot make it happen. Thanks again and have a great holiday.

Not in layers, but you can turn off posting of features. Just right click on the feature and select post yes/no.

    Hey Jerry,
The post yes/no will control the output of Gcode from each feature..

Another thing to look at here is for each feature, there is listed a rough/finish item under it and with a right clcik, you get a color and blanking option...So you can use colors for various toolpaths operations and blank or unblank them as needed.. This is for the viewport managment as opposed to the gcode management.

Kind of like a seperate layer/color managment system, but not tied to the actual layers..
