Single solid toolpath and other questions | | Hi Group,
I am playing around with the V20 demo (I have some V18 and Mastercam V5 experience) and I made a solids block 3 x 6 x 2" tall with a hemispherical solid
difference in the center of the top surface. I then filleted the edge where the cavity and the top surface intersect. I can get the toolpath to generate using planar and tooltip at angles like 45° and 90°, but not 0°. What am I doing wrong here.
Next question: I tried to just machine only the hemispherical surface, which it's upper edge is below the top of the block, and the toolpath using tooltip doesn't just cut the surface, it rounds over the upper edge as though I am using multiple surface cut where all the surfaces are tied together. Is it possible to just use the solid machining to achieve this or do I need to use other V18 methods?
Attached is a PDF file of my example.
Thanks in advance,
