Does V20 program tool tip or tool center

Hello V20 Users,

Does V20 program 3D surface toolpaths using the tool tip or the tool center or will it do both? I have V18 and always forget to set my tools to the correct offset using tool center.

Pat,

Version 20 allows you to use either the tool tip, or the tool center. In the tool path parameter page there are two radio buttons "TIP" or "CENTER" for you to select what you want for your offset. If you are using containment bounderies, you can also select if you want the tool contained within the boundry using the tip or the center. Offsetting your surface or tool is no longer necessary.
