I m trying to reproduce a column look.
Its my intention to use a .75 in dia. round bit for this. So I ve translate the lines in -Z, so my grooves width match the pink circles on top.
I was gonna use 3d engrave for this part of the job, and use a .75 in dia. end mill with .375 round end , that should simulate a .75 round end bit.
Now the gcode seem ok with a rapid at .1 , the only thing when I verify the simulation show the tool cutting the stock on rapid.
You have not defined any stock, so the block of material it is putting there likely does not represent the material you actually intend to use.
I would use the profile tool rather than engrave. Make a line that is the actual path you want the tool to take, make it a countour, and machine it.
The tool you are describing is a .75" ball end mill. You appear to have defined the tool in BobCAD correctly.
To define your stock, either right click on "Milling Stock", click Edit, and enter in the size of the stock.
OR
Draw a rectangle that is the size of your stock, and right click "Stock Geometry" and select the rectangle.
The verify should look better then. The stock material should be displayed in the BBCD screen, so you can verify the Z height is correct for the tooling assumptions you are using.
