BLM Tube Bender Programming Question

Hello,

I just found out last week that I could possibly be in line to become the next BLM machinist/programmer at our company. While I do have experience with CNC Mills, I'm told that there is very little similarities in the programming. Wanting to get a leg up on the some of my co-workers may also be coveting the position, I thought maybe someone here could help with some BLM tube programming basics.

The company I work for primarily employees individuals that do not speak English all that well. I do not speak Spanish, as most of my coworkers do, and feel that the guy showing me things may not be able to articulate what he's doing all that well. Plus, he's never been formally trained on the machine, either. I notice he often struggles with set-ups and is often working with the supervisor on how to make correct parts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW - The company is not going to send me anywhere to get formally trained. I'll essentially left to my own devices and the knowledge of the person working with me.

Call BLM USA they are in Wixom Michigan there are people that do nothing but program there for demos and show and tell . Their a very nice group of people good luck
