Odd problem with c10 BO board

Hi,

Nearly finished with my X3 cnc conversion, and ran into a problem. I wired all the electrics in an old PC case, with a C10 BO board on the back panel with the port facing up. After I finished wiring it I had the enclosure laying flat on its side while I tested everything. All seemed fine, so I took it to the shop.

I come to find out when the case is vertical (BO board vertical), the 5v PS led will blink, and the LED on the board will go out. When I lay the case horizontal, the PS LED goes solid like normal and the BO board lights up.

Is the BO board sensitive to how its mounted? The connections seem solid, not sure what else it could be yet.

Some electrons flopping around loose in one of the IC's
Seriously, I would look for a loose wire strand or something laying across a trace somewhere.
Or different stress on a wire when in the fault position.
Examine both sides of the BOB with a Mag light.

I have (2) C10's one mounted vertical, one flat, no problems.
Gravity might be pulling on the wires warping the board or causing a short.
Make sure the board has a physical mount other than just the port connector.

Apparently it was a mounting problem, I think one of the built-in standoff "divots" was making contact with the back of the board. It didnt look to be but the problem went away when I used longer standoffs.
