We are looking for a medium sized CNC to purchase. we like the one recently on ebay (CNC) we like the square column design and servo drives/ball screw design. Is there anyone out there with this type of machine (used preferably) who is willing to sell? we want to spend around $5500+/-. |

| I was looking at that Ebay auction as well it does appear to be a nice machine with fast rapids but I have to wonder if its not sacrifing accuracy for speed really wish there was more information available about it. Other places to look for similar machines... http://www.industrialhobbies.com - nice machine with encoders on the x,y ballscrews not the servo motor shafts which to me means more accurate position feedback. you have to buy the mill and retrofit kit seperately so *alot* of assembly is required but the price is close to what your willing to spend. http://ajaxcnc.com/new_cnc.htm - super nice "benchtop" mill using a centroid control but more than 2x what your willing to spend. it is a true servo control system tho which means smoother movement, better finishes on parts and probably more options to improve its capabilities even more.
