I just bought an X2 mini-mill. It is a manual setup. I am new to mills but I get how they work. So last night I was learning the machine and noticed that then fine adjustment has a ton of play in it. I took it off the machine to see if I could find anything glaring out at me but I don't see anything. If I zero the dial and then want to move it up, it won't start moving until about 45 on the dial... then if I want to move it back.... same thing the other way. Is there anything I can do to take the play out of the worm gear so it move up and down the instant I turn it rather than having |
