Upgradeing a Emco F-1 cnc mill

Well I scored a real nice F-1 and was woundering what is the best way to retro it to more modern controll that wouldn't cost a arm and a leg.Can the machine funtion fine as is, how much code will it hold as is.If you retro it does the orig controll box go away ? Thanks Chris

Hey I'm in the same situation. My drives and steppers is working and I belive it would be possible to use the original drives. But we have to find someone here that use a F-1
