Well after moving my household across the country I am finally in one place again. What an ordeal! I sold my Chinese drill press since it had alot of runout and wear. So now I am looking to replace it. I wanted to get some opinions about how well mill/drills function as drill presses. Of course there ain't the hole in the table to run the bit through so I guess I would have to use a backer on the table. I need a basic manual mill also. My budget is about $600. Would I be better off getting an inexpensive drill press and a mini mill? Thanks, Chris |

| How about the 12 speed machines? Does anyone have one of those? I've been looking at the G0517 from Grizzley. I've seen others but that is the only one that has a 3MT taper and drawbar. Also, considering that it comes with a stand, vice and #1 & 2 MT adaptors, it seems to compete with the Speedway price. $525 vs $299. C |
