What to make???

Well, this is going to sound really dumb.

I have a Sherline Mill and Lathe and a heap of accessories. I have the mill set up as a CNC machine with Mach3 and I've done close to nothing with them....

In fact, I still am looking around for more accessories, I guess I am just a tool junkie.

The real point of this thread is a hope that someone can give me, and others like me, some cool ideas on what to make. Maybe we can get some pictures of what you guys have done on one of these small bench top machines.

Look at what your skill level is, and where it needs improvement. Then pick a project which exercises that skill.
There are more things to build than can be counted, but some popular suggestions might be miniature engines, canons, or model boats/cars etc. Depending on equipment clockmaking can be fun as well.

i would start off simple at first, engraving name plates pictures ect. MFD wood is a cheap yet very machinable material to play with. Start off with simple shapes and get the hang of it, then move on to more complex shapes, then 3d machining.
