D&M Sherline info. I bought an old D&M milling machine and converted it to run with Mach 3 software and am willing to help anyone that wants to do the same with their D&M mill or lathe. The retrofit is pretty easy and just requires some basic wiring knowledge and can be done for as little as 100.00 . I also have a student manual for the CNC Mill that has a good amount of info on how the original machine and controller worked as well as some good lessons on writing G code. I'm going to make copies of this manual and offer them for a small fee to cover my costs. Please let me know if your interested or have any more manuals on these machines. I would love to get some more of them so they can be shared with other owners of the D&M machines. Thanks! Dale P. dpynenberg@new.rr.com

Manual copies I made a few copies of the D&M manual that I have. There are some really nice sections that teach how to program with G codes as well as information on how the D&M milling machine works. If you interested I can send you a copy for $20.00 shipped. This is to cover the coping and shipping cost with just a few bucks in my pocket for the trouble of getting them out to you. Just let me know if you want one. The best way to get ahold of me is dpynenberg@new.rr.com Thanks, Dale P.

I would love to help! It would help if you could send me some picts of the outside and inside of the machine. My E-mail address is dpynenberg@new.rr.com The retrofit basically requires a purchase of a parallel port breakout board and the removal of a few boards from the machine. Your stepper drives hook up to the breakout board and your ready to go. I can walk you through the steps, it's pretty easy to do. Dale P.
