Hi All, I finished adding some 120 oz steppers to my Grizzly mini mill, and I have tested it on wood by just using the drill chuck to hold some endmills. Great. Now I need a bit of shopping advice on what I need to buy to hold various tools from 1/8" to 5/8" diameters. Can the two grizzly provided collets be used with adapter for the small tools, or do I get a set of them, one for each shaft size? I'm just a tad undereducated on this collet stuff. Is there a nice 'starter kit' I can get for tool holders? Help! -Les |

Thanks for the link! I have some work I'd like to do with small 'dremel' sized bits, but I now realize that I can't get the needed spindle speeds for these with the mini-mill spindle. I need to figure a way to attach a small fast spindle to the mini mill spindle housing. I only need to cut a 2" by 2" with the tiny tools. Maybe a dremel with a 90 degree adapter, if they make one? -Les |
