| X3 Base Mounting Hole Distances? I'd like to build an elevated table for my X3 (which is on backorder). The manual states the maximum working envelope (45" left to right), but I'm looking for the distances (side-side and front-back) of the mounting holes in the base. Thanks! Oh, and if anyone has Autodesk Inventor files of the X3, that would be sweet! -Caleb105- |

| From facing front of mill: Left side mounting holes: Center of rear hole from back of base is 15/16" Center to center is 14 13/16" Center of front hole from back is 15 3/4" Right side mounting holes: Center of rear hole from back of base is 7/8" Center to center is 11 1/16" Center of front hole from back is 11 15/16" Don't forget to allow clearance on overall measurements for motors & mounts. If you increase travel on any axis, it will increase that enclosure dimension. Don't forget there is 5" of column cover BEHIND base. Do not CENTER the mill. Due to X travel differences L to R, the mill will be offset to the right some. CR. |

| CR, Thanks you SOOOOOO much! That was EXACTLY what I was looking for! I'm going to be making a stand out of 1.5" x 1.5" Tslot aluminum. I'd like to end up with a full enclosure made out of 1" x 1" Tslot (I've got a bunch sitting around)...so I'll probably make the footprint of the stand something more like 30" deep and 30-45" wide. I'll try to draw something up so you guys can critique it! -Caleb105- |

| This is kinda what I'm thinking: 1.5" x 1.5" for most of it, and 1.5" x 3" for the legs. Obviously I'll have some sort of diagonal cross-bracing. Dimensions are about 30" x 46" |

| No thoughts? You guys can critique anything! ETA: I calculate that with this design, I will have the following deflections: The two 30" supporting beams running front-back that the machine actual bolts to will sag about 1/32" each. The two 46" beams running left-right will each sag slightly more than 1/8" each. |
