I know one generally gets what they pay for, but on rare occasions there are exceptions...

Its a contour shuttle that they put a sticker on and is charging the double... I have had this and it works flawless, now i have a shuttle pro which is the same, just with more buttons. The plug-in can be downloaded from mach3 website (http://www.machsupport.com/plugins.php).

You can get it at ebay for something like 45$

Thank you, I'm glad I asked, I would've been really annoyed with myself if I paid twice as much for that...

For a bit more you can get the Pro2 - more buttons!!! I have no idea if it would work, but how can you pass up more buttons?

    Awesome... looks like I overpaid.
I got it from LMS: http://www.littlemachineshop.com/pro...3414&category=

It works really well. The jog dial has steps in the middle and variable jog / rapid on the outside of the wheel.

For those guys who have one of these, how does it interface with the mill? Assuming you set up functions for the buttons via software that it comes with, will it work with any kind of controller software? Wondering if I could get it to work with my Shopbot...

For Mach, there is a dedicated plug-in, that allows you to configure the buttons to all the common "ButtonPress" events in Mach, or to macros. For other applications, you'll need to install the Shuttle software, which basically emulates a keyboard. So, anything you can do through a keyboard on those other apps, you should be able to make the ShuttlePro do. You can download the Shuttle manuals, which show exactly what their software allows you to do.

    Ray L.
